The fact that so many are assuming she’s a freshman in an intro level writing class and not a junior in a probably 3000 level science class says a lot

I think it would have been fascinating and potentially great as a series finale but I think it’s kind of bad as a season finale

It definitely is a real phenomenon but I’ve yet to hear a proposed solution that isn’t just disproportionately burdensome to people who do need accomodations

The very first Professor Layton game (spoilers for a very old game) ends with the reveal that his Moriarty-like nemesis that you have no way of knowing about as a player was behind it the whole time, it rocks

Ironically think it has the same kind of perception as the new movie (a lot of famous people playing dress-up in a straightforward historical drama) but it’s a lot more thoughtful than that (in large part bc it’s not that far removed from the actual events)

Think you’re offbase re: Hollywood issue, heard editor talk about it and it’s historically been themed (first year was all women iirc) and he talked about how he wanted to use it to view how masculinity is changing (not exactly anti-woke)

Beyond the general bias of just expecting more of Democrats, I do think there’s something to the fact that it seemed like Dems were trying to hide Biden’s issues while Trump is very public facing

Could you give some examples of red arm moments? Not looking to argue/disagree, just curious what you’re referring to.
November 21, 2025 at 4:34 AM

November 7, 2025 at 9:33 PM

November 7, 2025 at 7:15 PM

Many men don’t like their partners/the women they date which unfortunately sounds absurd to many women

Biden will be remembered as a Buchanan like figure in the future… and Buchanan’s the consensus pick for worst president ever*

Best movie of the year imo

Think it’s just as simple as PTA is kind of the king of American indie cinema and Coogler is very much a studio guy
October 28, 2025 at 8:01 PM
I really didn’t think it was bad at all personally
October 28, 2025 at 1:22 AM
Almost unquestionably imo
October 27, 2025 at 1:56 AM
Yeah I think is is more it for Schrader, he was going to have trouble getting another movie made even before the misconduct allegations
October 25, 2025 at 10:27 PM
I think this is a good point but the flipside is part of why it got gutted was that Dems didn’t see it as the important part at the time
October 20, 2025 at 7:58 PM
Yeah I mean the actual silly thing here is it’s obviously politically motivated and for the exact thing Trump himself did, but Bolton’s almost certainly guilty
