In Europe visiting my boyo. He and GF took us to Menaggio, on Lake Como, because of a painting my parents left me that I have been looking at my whole life. They booked us this room especially and when we walked in my eyes welled up. #Kikorangi

Also an atheist. Having an anthropologist/ archaeologist aunt makes me a fan of ritual though. We were in Bergamo, so I lit your candle in the Cathedral. It was very impressive, so you should get extra credit for ornamentation.

Duct tape wont fix this. We put bird netting over the last cobbled together repair to keep the cat out and she has just moved over and shredded the whole fecking thing. Looks expensive. 😭😭😭😺#Kikorangi

It really made me think about violence, cruelty, poverty, incarceration and punishment, and restorative justice. Building more prisons seems like such a stupid idea. And this quote should be on Nicole McKee's mirror.

We went away earlier this year, and for the first time for ages, I did not have to pay all the bills, send out all the invoices, and even pay tax and prepare a GST return before we could get in the car and LEAVE. And we went here.
