Cilantro interplanted at the same time.
Closest: Moroccan (Botanical Interests), Leisure (Kitazawa), Calypso (Territorial Seed), and Slo-Bolt (Renee’s): furthest.
Calypso is about to bolt, Moroccan is just about done, the other two are tied for second place.

Raised bed with rows of carrots and parsnips. Between these were sowed four cilantro varieties. One one has not produced flowers (Calypso). Plant this is you want long lasting cilantro leaves!

Cool! So it’s slightly gelatinous on the surface when rehydrated?
How did they get the beeswax? What bees in North America make hives like the European bees? I think of them as being solitary.
Did they make actual pine tar? Seems like an old technology but maybe not ancient.

One of Artemis' characteristics is that she protects fer-tility. This may be symbolized by the spherical objects that cover the lower part of her chest, but the common assumption that they are female breasts is incorrect. They probably represent the testicles of a bull, although they may also be gourds, which were known in Asia as fertility symbols for centuries. Artemis' robe is always decorated with lions, leopards, goats, griffins, and bulls, which represent Artemis' title of Lady of the Animals. Oh balls! Definitely not what I was expecting.

Measly Measles When I was a child 75 years ago, all the kids got measles. No one was afraid of it. Most mothers stayed at home and were comfortable caring for sick children. There was no "Big Pharma" as we know it today-just common sense and generational wisdom when it came to childhood illnesses. In fact, these illnesses were considered strengthening for children. Some parents even hosted "measles parties" to deliberately expose their kids. If fevers ran high, lemon slices were placed on the feet with socks over them—a folk remedy meant to help the fever do its work safely. Back then, parents believed childhood diseases had a purpose in building resilience. That wisdom has been replaced by fear-unfounded and unnecessary fear. It's a sad and unhealthy shift.
