It all started when an antivax hack published a fake study in the 90s and some people of visibility latched onto it to pretend enlightenment, and more common people latched onto because “X famous person believes it” and “my lack of factual knowledge is just as valid as actual facts”

I’m seeing *a lot* more talk about Standard recently. Did it get really good this season or something else? I ask because I’ve no experience with Standard except through prerelease and the occasional draft.

In commander maybe. I think this was specifically referencing Standard.

I mean, he WAS in SOLDIER.

It’s funny that you think that all of that is A). Rural exclusive, and B). Happened naturally with no encouragement whatsoever from the rich and powerful.
Have you even had a genuine conversation with someone like that or do you just have a “hick from the sticks” video you watch daily?

Incorrect. The problems plaguing us have its roots in the wealthy and powerful deciding for decades that they are better off with the rest of us poor and uneducated, without access to anything beyond the bare minimum. And they love it when you pass over them to cast blame on the rural regions.

Beautiful. Can’t wait to be wearing it around the construction site along with a couple other choices on hardhat. “No sticker rules” about hard hats aren’t ever enforced. Order already placed.

Tormod the Desecrator was my first thought. Doubles the tokens off of Gentleman’s Rise from the graveyard.

Respect is to be given (initially).

DISRESPECT is earned, and he has been marathoning that for years.

If he wants respect he can show us something worth respecting and maybe earn some back. *cough*unlikely*cough*

Allegedly, there WAS an effective birth control pill for men that was in testing years ago but it was ended because the side effects were made subjects too uncomfortable. Side effects comparable those found in birth control pills for women.

Read that as “Phosphorus” initially and thought that type of foiling was appropriate.
May 2, 2025 at 10:31 PM
That’s a feature. Cuz then when your kid dies, you get to scream an anecdote about how vaccines are useless for all the IDIOT antivaxers to point at as proof of the brain dead ideas about vaccines they’ve held for years.
If this actually happens RFK needs a placebo then get IV’d a healthy strain.

It’ll be done when it gets done. Rushing helps no one.

My fondness for dinosaur stickers is still there after 25+ years, well after I thought I was done with stickers. Another few weeks won’t change that.

Oh good…Was waiting on this one in particular to hit preorder before placing an order, to save on packaging.

I am aware of how the distinction between “contractor” and “employee” is used to deny just compensation to workers.
I’m saying that if it’s REQUIRED then there needs to be compensation that justifies that requirement. A bus driver is not a GC that earns 100s of $1000s for their work.
April 29, 2025 at 9:57 PM
So riddle me this: why does none of that cover the driver as a vetted and hired employee of the government?
I mean, besides the fact insurance companies make new policies to provide less coverage for the customer so they must buy more, while also not reducing price for reduced coverage.
April 29, 2025 at 9:01 PM
There are certifications required already to drive a bus. Not just any schmoe can be hired. If the county, the government, wants its drivers covered by liability insurance during the course of their transportation duties, then they can cover it.
April 29, 2025 at 8:37 PM
You’re missing the point. The county is demanding drivers pay out-of-pocket for insurance to drive for them in COUNTY buses. If you don’t see the problem with that, imagine the drivers being forced to pay out of pocket for fuel or bus maintenance. These are not personal vehicles.

A MIGHTY variety of berries. Super ambitious of May. And then Jesse was super enthusiastic about how good they were, when no one else could stomach them. Someone else liked them too but can’t remember.
