Despite its thoughtful approach to themes of grief and longing, this second installment dragged a bit for me. Overall, the series is #imaginative, with strong world building and a resilient MC in young Evie. I recommend giving it a read.

The overall pacing in this off kilter #holiday romp is satisfying, although I do find it more story driven than character focused. Leans a bit heavy on gore for shock value. Gorgeous artwork, as to be expected with Brom. A fun #read!

Eleanor, awkwardly earnest at the best of times, painfully hypocritical at her worst, lives up to the hype. She is most definitely a unique character. Less favorable was the rush and fizzle of the ending. This book was good. Not great, but good.

George Sand and Frederic Chopin are reimagined in this odd but pleasing little book. Narrated by the ghost of a 14 year old girl, the story is a unique concept that falters a touch in its own ingenuity, but is overall very entertaining.
