Just saw #IronLung.

It reminded me of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘭𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘢 - if it were a cosmic horror blood bath. Really drove home the idea, "A man can be destroyed but not defeated."

In all seriousness, I enjoyed this film. Highly recommend.

First book of 2026: fluffy little horror / romance set in the 90s. Feel like I need to pick my teeth, because it was too sweet to be scary.

Some disconnect between story elements, and the kids seemed younger than HS seniors. Cozy autumn feel.

An #Arthurian fueled bender for the ages.

I just....I don't....what exactly did I just read? It wanted to be more than it was, and became too much for what it is. Beautiful prose. Emotional substance? Nah.

I really liked the horse.

Despite its thoughtful approach to themes of grief and longing, this second installment dragged a bit for me. Overall, the series is #imaginative, with strong world building and a resilient MC in young Evie. I recommend giving it a read.

The overall pacing in this off kilter #holiday romp is satisfying, although I do find it more story driven than character focused. Leans a bit heavy on gore for shock value. Gorgeous artwork, as to be expected with Brom. A fun #read!

Currently reading the excellent "The Lost Rainforests of Britain" by @guyshrubsole.bsky.social as research for my novel. I feel a bit guilty for my enchantment, given the important ecological message of this engrossing book. Can captivation be a friend to serious concern?

I was today years old when I learned "Dead Souls" by Joy Division is named for Nikolai Gogol's #novel of the same name.
