How do they keep churning out these bald dudes? Is there a factory somewhere?

This is what the site looked like one year ago when the United States was more normal. And the Español link is gone.

He seems to enjoy kneecapping research, even research that saved his own child. No wonder his wife divorced him. Screenshot from February 2025 Mother Jones www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Such a dickwad. No wonder his wife divorced him: he’s kneecapping the very types of research that helped save his own child. Screenshot from February 2025 Mother Jones www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Just watched this on a plane and took this screenshot that has an expression I often have on guided tours when they say things like: "There are thousands and thousands of uses for corn, all of which I will tell you about right now!"

Thank you to @badkneests for conveying what I think is happening to my Alma mater. I whole-heartedly believe in community colleges, but IU is a university and thus should be devoted to a broad education that includes arts and humanities.

Given the headlines (or lack thereof) at @nytimes.com these days, was sort of surprised that "foxnation" wasn't a Pangram on today's Spelling Bee word list.

Some scenes from the NO KINGS protest about 20 miles north of downtown San Diego near Del Mar. The last two slides are the front and back of the sign I made. My first political demonstration ever.

I visited White Sands National Park for the first time earlier this month. An amazing place. Thank goodness it was elevated from Monument to National Park in 2019 (during Trump's first term, no less) otherwise they'd use it to supply drywall factories.

Just returned from a New Mexico road trip. I had one of these open on my lap as my husband drove. Using these atlases we have discovered so many fun places we otherwise wouldn't have visited if we relied only on Google Maps. Also handy if you have no signal at all.

I reported her to the organizers, said that what she did to me effectively constituted assault, and that she shouldn’t be involved in youth activities for that organization ever again. I will never forget this woman's anger and loss of composure in the face of being defied. (5/5)

At the next meal, in full sight of the students in my group, the retired ICE agent grabbed my shoulders from behind, shook me, and put her ear close to mine and said: “DON’T EVER DO THAT TO ME AGAIN”. This woman simply could not accept that I defied her order. 4/5

After discussion with the head organizers, we decided to leave the group intact. Upon learning that I went above her to the head organizers, the retired ICE agent was furious. (3/5)

The retired ICE agent made an error so that my group had two girls who did in fact know each other. When I alerted her to her error, the retired ICE agent made me choose one girl to go to another group. However, by that time, my group had become fast friends and didn’t want to be separated. (2/5)

Here’s my experience with a former ICE agent. I was volunteering as a facilitator at a leadership camp for high school juniors. This retired ICE agent was responsible for dividing the attendees into groups of 8 students who did not know each other. (1/5) 🧵
