I'm not very good at finishing painting my minis. At this point I have 4 different units/groups/models on my desk, and I figure I need to publicly commit to get those fully done before I touch a brush on a new model. So that's what I'm doing, I think.

After a few tries I think I've got a color scheme for my chorfs. It was a few tries before I got the colors to show up on the dark metal of the armor, and I'm still not sure it's really that visible tbh. But it's a good first, and they'll get better as I work on the next few models. #warhammer #AoS

In response to my wife's (who has actual academic education in graphic arts and whom I, a colorblind person, trust) criticism about my reliance on desaturated colors for my paint schemes, I might have over corrected and paired the hottest kroxigor ever

Got my first Spearhead game today, and it was really nice to roll some dice again. I think this is my first non D&D game in three and a half years, and although it's was lots of fun, maaan I'm rusty on picking up new rules for a game. Every move was a new round of book reading...

Almost a full unit of test models and I'm still very much undecided on a color scheme for my skeletons. I really wanted a black to grey gradient armor, with no metallics in it, but after a few tests with decaying bronze I'm tempted to follow with that now...

I did a little more work and I think I like the new direction, but considering that the new barrowguard has way less fabric going on, I might need a stronger accent color for their armor. Maybe a warmer bronze instead of this faded copper, if it doesn't clash too much.

Sometimes a color scheme just won't come together. I would love to say that when that happens I, a mature adult (that paints toys) shrug and try something new. What I do instead is I insist on my mistaken ways and try to fix everything while changing not much at all. And I'll be frowning.

Painted stone Krieg recently, and for the first time I gave myself a time limit to finish the unit. While I can't say I love the final result on close-up pictures like this, they do mark a presence in the game table.

My gumpla journey continues with me assembling my second model in two weeks, instead of the absurd two months that Nu Gundam took me.
It helps Calibarn is half of My Gundam's size, and two grades of difficulty lower.
I'm already working on a new robot. This hobby might become a problem.

I've been playing around with some Krieg, and I think I like the general direction I found for them. I just need to figure out decal markings for the regiment, and then do a whole lot of weathering on them.

Finished some 4~13 orcs. Orks. Orruks. Finished a number of those large green guys. Usually green, sometimes paler, sometimes purple...

A crazy amount of hobby hours later, I've got my first Gundam built. Still have to finish with his arsenal of weapons and accessories, and in really want to do all his decals and some weathering, but my fear of taking two whole months just building him is averted.
