@gunnerblog.bsky.social A group of us are getting completely screwed by FIFA on World Cup tickets. They just revoked tickets we paid thousands for the right to buy. They are running an absolute racket with shoddy technology and a scheme that is failing at every corner.

There's a lot of talk about fine margins, but if you don't have players who can take the chances you create those margins are going to go against you in the bigger games.

Nike’s more polite slogan for Gen Z:

“Please don’t not do it”

“Or don’t do it. That’s ok too”

“Whatever you’re more comfortable with”

Another poor performance in the Premier League. Worrisome and lucky that Chelsea were garbage. Seems like maybe we are doing the minimum to squeeze top 3 out. It’s not fun to watch.

Shirt sponsors for top 6 clubs are around £30m /yr typically. How Chelsea are just ok without one for a whole season is very interesting. 🤔

It really would have been hilarious if, after screaming at the ref for a foul, Cucarella got a penalty called against him.

Which is what should have happened.

My worry for Madrid is not the tactical or technical preparation. My worry is that that is our ONLY preparation.

Madrid will do what Madrid do. They’ll dive, play-act, cheat, any edge they can, and the refs buy it. Year after year. They’re masters at it.

We can’t be naive. We must prepare. #ARSRMA

There should be an option for sports broadcasts where you could keep the crowd noise but mute the commentators, so I could mute Ray Hudson for Champions League games.

This is what happens when you don't play with any urgency. It's been the same pretty much all season. And it's cost us too many times

Get the subs in. Save the legs. Don’t chase this one. We don’t even get credit for FA Cups, let alone this mickey mouse cup.

What’s up with Martinelli? If he’s not running at someone full speed he’s really poor. His first touch, tight space play, and 1v1 from a stop all leave a lot to be desired.

Lotta praise for the young kids but my MOTM was Partey. What a performance. He did it all.

That's an absolute fucking joke. Sorry. I can't believe that.

…and confirmed by VAR??? That is absolutely dire. Criminal.

Martinelli is really starting to fray the nerves. He consistently dribbles into trouble. His heads-down play has been pretty frustrating.

Me watching this Arsenal season
January 12, 2025 at 3:52 PM
I feel this way so much lately. Don’t have the confidence going into games I used to.
Really horrible watch. Arsenal missing players, low on confidence, United needing to keep things tight - it's a recipe for disaster.

So much has gone against Arsenal this season and I'm finding it difficult to connect with these games. Every week any chance of momentum dies. It's draining.

Our whole team must be sick cuz we really look it
January 4, 2025 at 7:09 PM
Still, on the whole, the team ended up managing and controlling that game pretty impressively. Brentford are no mugs, especially at home. Shows what I know.
Our attack against these low block teams is just TOO SLOW.

Especially when we win it back. We allow them to sprint back into position before trying to break them down.
