The Big Bad Bill that “nobody likes” is a clear example of minority rule. Peter Theil and his cohorts (they have no friends even among themselves) have engineered means to overthrow majority rule using our republic and its institutions against the public interests.
A lot of us on the left are pretty pissed at those who voted for Trump and all the fallout of his immature EO’s. And while the MAGAs are shocked and sad that their votes supported this cruelty, we need to persuade them to call off their dogs. Gloating won’t make our lives better. Flipping MAGAs can.

I’m reading a lot of talk that the US Constitution & US history is nothing but lies necessitating a whole system overhaul.
I agree the US was built on a basis of distortions & that its history is written & taught poorly.
But in 200 yrs, we may look like a tribe of hypocrites, too. Tread cautiously.

Mike Johnson wants fellow Republicans to keep concerns private according to AP. Is he for real??? This is not high school club culture this is public service. The public had a right to know! And representatives have an obligation to inform their constituents and not with a quiet toss-able letter.

It’s sad how the rich and stupid conveniently forget the lessons of history. The poor and ignorant don’t know the lessons. And the educated and sandwiched scream the lessons to electively deaf ears.
Education is not just about job prep. It’s about making an informed public/electorate.
