the other day I saw a guy on the metro wearing the wooliest sweater in kind of a chonky fair isle design in blue and white, and he also had a matching bobble hat

and no coat (the sweater looked SO warm)

First five #inkvent colors!

1. a lot going on. I see why they put it first

2. went on a bit blobby but could be a skill issue

3. just a tiny bit of gold where it puddles

4. scented. they did nail the nauseating note in cigarette smoke I guess

5. not sold on the greenish bits

Someone is doing some kind of work that necessitates having, like, little mobile construction sites on floating platforms on the river near the bridges.

Dietitian is probably right about my body thinking that carrots etc are pollen.

Guessing my body also thinks some spices are pollen, so I think I need to go buy a tiny amount of many different spices so I can test. Because plain spinach is not tasty.

I have signed up to bring a cheese plate to the holiday party. Not super excited by the premade cheese plates so I am curating my own.

- smoked Gouda
- mimolette, which is this bright orange hard cheese
- red dragon cheddar (mustard seeds)

Maybe a mild sheep's milk cheese? Brie?

I was thinking about the "annoying questions you get about your job" meme and concluded that if you ask me about my job I will answer every question very earnestly and the problem will be you learning more than you wanted to know about the nineteenth century

I think one of the things about this haircut is that my hair is too wavy to really lay flat, so if I try to make it sleek it gets boyish. So today I have added a texturizing product and arrived at a sort of civilized werewolf look which I think is working for me. We'll see how it holds up.

working on my tortilla game. I think one issue with mine was that they were too thick bc they were a smidge too big for the press? but the official instructions always say that 1/2 cup masa = 5 tortillas or 1 cup = 19, and dividing dough into a prime number of balls is frankly bonkers

at the doctor today, the PA who took my vitals asked me, as per usual, when my last period was. I checked my app and told her, and she was like, "oh, it's coming right up! I'm sorry."

and I've never had a medical professional say that before and it was kind of nice. thank you! it's not fun.

Ugh driving in the rain is the worst. A quarter of the cars don't have lights on; another quarter have the super glarey brights; that plus the nova tendency to have lanes suddenly turn into turn lanes under you, and it was not a fun drive to the doctor.
