Just to follow up on this, we did not have a duck nest this year.... but we have a cardinal nest! It's in my rose bush, so it's hard to photograph... but here's mom and dad!

I normally only post real flowers, but this piece was too cool to pass up. Just goes to show that flowers can take any shape, size, and material

Duckling season is upon us. Every year we have a duck nest in our garden. Sadly, last year this mother duck was killed by a cat the neighbors let wander around outside, and the eggs ended up perishing as a result. I'm hoping to see another successful mother duck and ducklings this year!
