I’m always incredibly excited to go through the monthly physical copy (yes, even though I do know its content).

In the 26-year history of our journal @natcellbio.nature.com this has never happened before, but the time has come: Nature Cell Biology is now open to considering #ClinicalTrials . I’m curious to hear what people in the field are up to - please reach out to me!

Ever since I switched to a vegetarian diet, I ‘ve been trying to find new recipes and familiarize myself with a different cooking philosophy. Believe me: #vegetarian & #vegan recipes can be INCREDIBLE! And this is absolutely one of them: cauliflower steak served with roasted potatoes and hummus.

Back to work, BUT can still not get over Ikaria. So, here it is: one of the healthiest, vegetable-based, traditional dishes that I tried in this blue zone island, called “mageirio” (from the greek verb “mageireuo”, meaning to cook). I loved cooking this 🤗

Peaceful island morning 🏝️

I did wanna take a shot when it came, but couldn’t resist it, so you ‘ll have to imagine it based on the leftovers. As a vegetarian, I can attest to it - islands with such wonderful traditional plant-based recipes make it REALLY easy to abstain from meat. #ikaria #greece

As much as I am already missing handling papers, it’s great to get some time off, especially when your escape location is one of the blue zones of the world: Ikaria, Greece 😍

Just watched the final season of #handmaidstale and came to a very shocking realization, followed by a genuine question: how do the US government and their supporters feel about this story?

Got home after @bacell3d.bsky.social truly inspired by the progress in the #organoid field. Transparency, thorough reporting and collaboration can improve the field in the areas of reproducibility and protocol standardization, too.

PS huge thanks to the organizers for the wonderful gift below!

Wonderful to be back at @bacell3d.bsky.social and so awesome to combine science with a tad of art (I can’t believe this is 100% by hand!)

Average German person speaks English at WHAT level? As a non-German individual living in Germany, I can 100% assure you this is NOT what I ‘ve experienced (far from it). So, either this statement is false or Germans actually can speak English, but don’t wanna do it. There are always exceptions ofc.

I just tried to use #Skystats analytics for my account. This tool also generates 2 summaries for your account: a serious one and a funny/nasty one 😅 This is what the funny/nasty one looks for my account 😂😂😂
PS I should probably talk to my therapist about this.

It appears we ‘re well above 1K on this profile, so I think reintroductions are in order! I’m Stelios, and I’m a senior editor at Nature Cell Biology. I handle #stemcell, #DevelopmentalBiology, disease and (pre)clinical studies at the journal.
I like to mostly post about papers, but not only 😃
