They’re worried that some woman will have experienced the pressure they put on her as coercion, and that suddenly that thing they felt was not a crime because they didn’t even consider what she was feeling is going to be seen by others as, you know, treating her like consent was a formality.

Also, cheating to kill Vivec for a laugh, expecting to have to reload after, only to *not* get the "you bricked the main quest" message and many hours later reading the sermons of Vivec and realising *THEY WANTED THE NERAVERINE TO KILL THEM BY CHEATING* is a core memory

Part of why Morrowind still lives rent-free in my head, even though it's mechanics sucks ass, is that it let you kill important npcs. The game openly tells you that you bricked your game and will have to reload, but it lets you live with the consequences if you want that.

Republicans: congrats, we did it. Took 2,000 tries over 10 years but orphan crushing is now legal.

Democrats: we just don't have the votes to ban orphan crushing and anyway the parliamentarian wouldn't allow it even if we did. Next year we'll do it IF we gain a supermajority and the stars align
