The military does it that way. I've seen very out of shape people with big necks pass & skinny people fail. It's a weird 1950s anachronism.

I have been personally wronged by BMI. I'm short & solid. If the guy measuring my height gave me 5'8", I'd pass by a pound or two. If they said 5'7", I'd fail. Then they measure my waist & my neck & proceed to tell me I'm 34% body fat. I was in great shape at the time, but got extra PT anyway.

The question we are fighting over today is whether we move towards that ideal of equality or pull back to the inequality & racism that has defined our country since its birth. Next year marks our 250th birthday & I can only hope we have chosen the right direction by the 4th of July. -END-
