After falling in love with Monster Hunter Wilds, I wanted to try out the older games & pulled out my 2ds XL for MH4U. I beat the main low rank but didn't go to high rank, had a nice little time learning lance.

I beat Blue Prince. Well, I mean, I beat the tutorial for blue prince that then shows the credits. I am still knee deep in late game mysteries. Just got the infinite nursery + lab experiment trick so now my allowance is 350, hopefully this shall facilitate puzzle solving (spoiler: only kind of).

I beat Monster Hunter Wilds, and it finally made the series click for me. I started with World but for a number of external reasons I didn't enjoy it. Wilds resonated with me so well that I am now currently halfway through Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on my 3ds. Gonna be playing a lot more of these.

I played and beat the first non-challenge run of Nubby's Number Factory, and uh, man. That game is something else. Very addicting, very fun, just oozing with creativity. I was introduced to it by Northernlion's streams and picked it up immediately. Also beat 2 of the challenges as well.

I beat A Game About Digging A Hole, and it sure was that (and a bit more!). Its got a nice little loop and it doesn't overstay it's welcome. It had me trying to see if there was any way to play the old iOS game "I Dig It" since it reminded me so much of that.

I beat Flyknight back in February with a friend of mine. We finished it in about a (k)night. I especially liked the environmetn designs. A lot better with a friend to be honest, we had a great old time. Old school feel with new school time commitment. You can tell a lot of love went into this one.

I finished The Gnorp Apologue a bit ago, forgot to post about it. I'm not sure what the moral is yet but I loved the game! It's a great little exploration of idle games and synergies between mechanics. The dev clearly has a good eye for system design. Looking forward to their next projects!

Thank Goodness You're Here! Is really good! I love a short, beautifully animated & voiced game. I was laughing a lot. Not much else to say I think, besides the fact that there were probably a million British references I missed.

Finished Core Fault, a survivors-like playdate game. Initially I loved it - its got a great loop & art. But it was easy to optimize my fun away by getting the drill and staying in a level for 8 minutes. I kept expecting some kind of boss or finale - but it never came. Wish there was a little more.

Another Playdate game: Echo, the oracles scroll was a fun little metroidvania romp. Didn't get all the coins, but the puzzles and platforming were tight and kept me coming back. Didn't take me too long to beat, which I appreciate. Was stuck on that safe lock puzzle for a while though.

Parking Garage Rally Circuit is great. Really feels like it released on the Sega Saturn, a console I have never really played but I imagine this is how it was. Great feel, great vibe, still going too fast for that one jump on liberty island.

Leap year is a wonderful little puzzle platformer. After a while you really get used to the mechanics and a lot of it just clicks. I had a great time with the entirety of this thing. It's a great example of good level design.

I got a play.date console for Christmas this year (I'm late to the party) but I played and beat Casual Birder. A very fun little puzzle game where you use the console's unique crank to focus a camera to take pictures of birds. A very satisfying little experience.

Smushi Come Home is a great, cute 3D platformer. It's short too, which is my favorite kind of game. I loved all the little equipment you would get overtime, the dialogue, the looks. Big recommend from me.

Solar Ash was...good. solid gameplay featuring slick movement, and one hell of an aesthetic.

With the narrative...I was able to guess the overall twist by the second boss, and the lore dialogue options were very fluffy. It was a good story, but it didn't feel well executed.
