The intersection of two neighborhood streets with the end of one street partially reforested with four trees and one large bush, along with greenery surrounding the tree trunks. The vegetation is planted in multiple sections cut out from the asphalt leaving a passable route intact for pedestrians and cyclists.

The FDR Drive was opposed by residents (in 1936) before it was built, and to this day remains unwanted. It brings air and noise pollution, and takes up valuable community space. It doesn't have to be this way.

@marklevinenyc.bsky.social wants to return the waterfront to the people.

Here’s an idea to enhance the street scape. Currently this is all asphalt that has no use. Cars used to park here. Now time to finish the job of reclaiming our streets.
