Author, journalist, published poet. Currently close to finishing my next book, a novel. Loves coffee. https://www.amazon.com/Other-Side-Beach-Light/dp/1913432386/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=on+the+other+side+of+the+beach&qid=1672609528&sr=8-1
Cool. I mean, he would text in Aramaic, but of course software is good at translating these days. Will also be really fun discussions as he would be unaware of the Nikean council version of the bible or the later huge translation mistakes. Or texting. Should be a fun learning experience all around.

Likewise. Thank god I passed, I thought I would have to start posting Alas Poor Yorick memes to make the cut.

I think it´s mandatory to also walk around and loudly complain that there´s no proper fish and chips anywhere.

I . . . immediately take out my cell phone and call Deckard, and tell him there´s a replicant in my TV controlling the wasp. I know him well, he´s going to come right over and fix this while saying stuff in that great voice-over of his.

LOL. Not a bot. But thank you for the kind compliment. On the amazing part of it, that is, not sure it´s a compliment to be a bot. But who knows, maybe it is; I wrote a poem on here a while back about a poor little AI.

I think there is a quote somewhere in Alice in Wonderland that says all the best people are ducks, I am sure. I am a writer myself, but who knows, I could have become an otter if I had listened to that guidance counsellor.

Hello there!

"You look very squamous and undulating today."
"Why, thank you! I got a new abstract accepted."
"Congratulations! What´s the topic?"
"Oh, just more of the post-hominid studies as usual, but on genetic findings linked to the zillions of those square "ippones" we find everywhere. Mildly interesting."

Also, on another note, what verified genetic material did they access for this, is that known?

I remember reading a book by an MI6 agent who posed as a journalist fascinated by Hitler at the time, which gave him quite extensive access to him. He commented in the book that he always thought that Hitler might have had DID, as the switch from normal person to raging ideologue was so extreme.

Maybe the atheist versions could be, "May it always take them five times to put in a charger the right way!" "May their turn signal be stuck on left all through their commute thrice a week!" or, like, "May their Siri be stuck on playing only rock and never any Bach violin concertos EVER!!!"

Right. Yeah, novels are of course a whole different animal to writing blog posts... (said the writer who is currently five years into writing his next one, and trying to avoid dying from editing at the moment). Has he attended any writing courses before?
November 13, 2025 at 4:20 PM
Also, of course, very kind of you to offer to test read to begin with, and to care about how a response comes across.

Is he a professional writer? If not, that might of course change how to address this. I always ask my test readers "Please note any places where you feel you lose connection with the text" - perhaps saying something like that might be both a kind way and an actually useful way to include feedback?

Other famous 40k side hustles: "The Necromunda and Ork Waaagh Penpal Project - rite wiv passion!", "Film an Inquisitor - upload video of all three Ordos and see how long you survive!" and of course the famous Ecclesiarchy Tomb World Outreach Programme - "Zealots to Save Necron Souls!" Good times.

Ah, but maybe that means she is a tour guide for human tourist groups who visit Craftworlds as part of their Touring the Funniest Xenos cruises? And the shadow part is, like, that she has a sideline writing puff pieces for this on Tripadvisor? . . Sorta thing.

Would a good chilli and cry work?
November 12, 2025 at 5:44 PM
Well, since the UK and the EU are all one desolate Communist wasteland where we are forced to have tax-payer funded healthcare against our will, of COURSE BBC plays 24/7 on the loudspeakers on every street. Uh. Obviously.

I am involved in public health work. One of my contacts at WHO was in charge of WHO´s Ebola field response during one of the previous outbreaks. Amazing work. Anyone who steps up to be involved on this, both local and international staff, huge, huge respect.

"However, Midnight Oil argues that, "How can we dance when our earth is turnin'?/How do we sleep while our beds are burnin'?". This indicates sleeping after ignition may be unlikely. I will explore this in my research on Revolutionary Parisian Bedding During the Abolition of the Ancien Régime."

I don´t know if there is a History version of the Goldwater Rule. I always thought there was a rule not to claim diagnosis like this. "Now, let´s take DSM-5-TR and write a book with diagnosis for people throughout history... Henry VIII was OBVIOUSLY a kleptomaniac, stealing a religion like that..."
