This @heatmap.news survey is wild! Americans are more comfortable living near natural gas facilities than wind, geothermal, or even data centers.

Those of us working in climate have really butchered risk communication for natural gas (yes, I know fossil fuel disinformation matters, too)

Falling for an AI pitch is one thing, but I have to say, I'm surprised about the lack of any fact-checking from WIRED. Does this imply that they don't fact-check known writers?

That seems like a bigger deal to me than getting duped in the first place.

In a @fordmotorsofficial.bsky.social we're renting, ECO mode comes with caveats about comfort and performance, while Sport mode receives a glowing review... 🤔

Cyana moths are quite the magicians. As caterpillars, they build cage-like cocoons from their own spiky setae then suspend themselves inside to metamorphose. Some time later they emerge as a moth through a one-way gate in the crook of the cage, leaving a levitating chrysalis in their wake.

I've never noticed this indicator at the top of CNN, and it feels like a scathing indictment of our societal values

Becoming Earth by @ferrisjabr.bsky.social is a stunning book, full of fascinating science and interspersed with beautiful insights that border on poetry. I won’t share more as it’s wonderful coming upon such sections in situ, but here is a paragraph that gave me chills when I first read it.
