I am a white, middle class, middle-aged man who was privately educated and has on the whole had a comfortable life.
So if I can see that we are being taken to Hell in a right wing, racist, xenophobic, misogynistic, corrupt, idiotic, planet destroying, selfish handcart then it must be obvious.

These stories crop up regularly & when social housing is shown as a solution it makes me think locals are being ghettoised so tourists can get the best houses...

This is the racist ramblings of a dangerous dementing mind.
How long before he starts using racist epithets?
Though I do like the discomfort of the guy to Trump's left staring at the ceiling wishing he was anywhere else.
Tough luck buddy, you wanted in the room. Now suck it up.
Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

There's a great big complicated story behind how I ended up taking this shot but I can't reveal it...

Fish wrote a line in Marillion's Forgotten Sons that ended with the phrase "verbal masturbation."
I always wondered about that until I saw a Trump cabinet meeting...
Christ, these people have absolutely no shame.

A favourite shot from a favourite shoot.
We were commissioned to photograph a STEM activity that had been touring Scotland showing primary school pupils that Science & maths can be fun.
It was indeed fun & the pupils had a brilliant time. Hopefully a new generation of scientists has been created.

What did you get up to at training tonight?
Oh. Vital things. Real saving lives at sea stuff.

We live in a time where not only are almost all politicians crap but so are the media.
I'm growing more than a little sick & tired of while watching/listening to an interview shouting impotently,
"Ask the obvious fucking question! Nail the bastard! Tell them we know that's bollocks!"

Gig photography is fun. Gig photography at your local village hall in funner.

Surfs TV. Finds an American footy game on Amazon. Watches for 15mins. It's so boring live.
Compared to a rugby its tectonic, glacial, empires rise, empires fall, species evolve, become extinct and we're still in the first quarter.

Apparently Broadford is a new town...
Being an old fogy I think of East Kilbride, Irvine, Glenrothes, Cumbernauld as new towns. Great big places with industrial estates, thousands of almost identical houses & hundreds of roundabouts.
Broadford has two mini roundabouts.

Scotland has 33 new towns. Where are they and what's it like living there?
BBC Scotland visits Tarves in Aberdeenshire - one of 33 places which are no longer villages after seeing their populations swell.

Life on Skye - & pretty much all the Highlands and Islands - spend the night awake listening to a stormy bedlam outside. Imagining trees uprooted, polytunnels gone, sheep passing by like tumbleweed, fences down, gates blown open.
Go out in the daylight, nothing. Not even a wheelie bin over.

One of those Skye days that down South would have a storm name but here it's called a Thursday in November.

Do you think that Reform workshopped what Farage would say when he was asked about being a teenage racist & thought saying,
"I never directly racially abused anybody,"
would put the story to bed?
Yeah. Direct racism is bad, very bad. Indirect racism? That's fine, no problem...
What obvious bollocks.
