Last fall @waywardtraveler.bsky.social and I planted over 50 Katherine Hodges dwarf irises. The first ones just started blooming, Spring is here!!
They’re so tiny that my camera can barely focus on more than one at a time but dang they’re pretty! I just love that ice blue color!

Going to try my hand at using milk jugs as miniature greenhouses for starting my winter hardy annuals and perennials. In six weeks or so I’ll make another batch of jugs for the tender stuff like squash and zinnias.

My first time seeing orchids growing on trees. The plant is tied to the tree and over time the roots embed in it. The plant never touches soil and does fine like this, it’s pretty neat!

The orchid garden at the Hilo botanical garden is incredible. Some of these blooms smell like sugar cookies!
