It's slushy and sad outside, and my apartment is FREEZING. So of course I want to bake bread.
It's not warm enough in here to make yeast happy and I've got no space for new kitchen gadgets. Hence: DIY heating pad proofing setup. Hubris in action, or genius move? Only time will tell.

I am so heartbroken. David Lynch lived a long, prolifically creative life - even if we'd gotten another 78 years of him, it wouldn't be enough.
