ANGELA CHANG'S "Seek For Light" WORLD TOUR - Custom Guo Pei, Cheney Chan, KWK, and Robert Wun.

Singer and actress, Angela Zhang Shao-han (also known as Angela Chang) wears a custom Guo Pei gown created for her Seek for Light World Tour 2025. The gown was created in collaboration with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Team. The gown is form-fitting, with a phoenix feather design on the bodice and dramatic, feathered shoulders with a looping fiber-optic cape.

The textile used in this gown glows and was custom developed with Guo Pei based on patented technology developed by Prof. Tan’s research team. "It integrates intelligent photonic systems with precision knit engineering to produce an interactive, illuminative material with stretchability."

Chang wears a custom lavender Cheney Chan gown with a high leg slit up to her left thigh and an intricate crescent moon headpiece. The gown has a sculptural bodice with feather accents and a long train, embellished with multiple sequins. The gown is floor-length and has matching elbow-length globes.

Chang wears custom KWK made for her tour. The dress is light pink, with spaghetti straps and a fitted, mini pencil skirt with a long train that drapes over Chang's right hip. The dress has a strait across bodice and matching gloves. it features a sculpted corset bodice made out of metallic pink molded plastic (? perhaps), with bright silver accents. The bodice swoops to one side, like cloth caught in water. Chang wears a matching spiderweb crown.

Chang wears a custom Robert Wun, a common collaborator with the singer. The dress features a black gown with white accents, tied around the neck with a wide halter top, and matching black gloves. A corseted overdress covers Chang from bodice to the floor, formfitting with flared accents on the bottom. She wears a coat with a long train in the same white as the overdress and finlike cuffs that open at her elbows. The dress features a massive, white butterfly headpiece.

SIYUN HUANG 2/2 2024 "Immateriality" COLLECTION.

The model wears a two-piece gown with a black bandeau top and a long, sarong-style skirt that puddles to the floor. The skirt has a slight up the side, revealing part of the model's leg, and the waistline of the dress imitates a tucked-in look. The black fabric is slightly metallic, catching the light. The bandeau top has a dramatic bodice made of carved bamboo sticks, possibly flutes. The bodice has a series of thin metal rods that extend to either side, where metal dragonflies made of bamboo sticks and leaves perch.

The model wears a gown in various shades of purple: both a light dusty-grey purple and a dark, near-black purple. The dress has a high-neck, sleeveless bodice with images of fossils and animals and a ruffled, full train with multiple bunches of fabric. The fabric has a gradient of dark to light, with many hanging folds.

The various layers of the dress train are meant to recreate scattered lotus leaves. The dress has a loose cape, meant to imitate smoke, that begins under each arm.

Per the designer: "Some looks use the handmade textile of the Miao minority in southwest China, which is a type of craftmanship on fabric, but the process is complex. It requires indigo dyeing, attaching egg white or cow‘s blood on the surface, constant pounding and steaming, it often takes months to produce a 45cm wide fabric, its surface is shiny but not dazzling."

Although not shown in motion, the model wears a kinetic dress with floral, gauze accents that bloom and twitch like flowers constantly growing and dying. The dress itself is a dark black, with sculptural flowers with a dark purple to light purple gradient. The sculptures flare out, giving the dress a ruffled appearance.

The model wears a kinetic robe made of shiny, black material with visible white stitching. This dress is also kinetic, as the metal dragonflies that perch on the dress move and spin using sound sensors. The dragonflies are hand-sculpted and rest on the model's torso and shoulders using thin metal poles. The dress also features green leaf sculptures, which also move when seen in video.

CHENEY CHAN F/W 2025/2025 COUTURE COLLECTION.

The first look of the collection, symbolizing "Birth", the model lays in a pile of white feathers and stares directly at the camera. They have dramatic eyeliner and red hair, with a dramatic lip and bleached eyebrows.

The outfit draws inspiration from a bird of paradise and features a large plume of frothy of-white tulle that covers the model's torso. The plume also features long feathers, brown with black stripes, shaped by metal wires and inspired by the plumes of Peking Opera performers. The model wears a feathery fascinator on their head that obscures the top part of their face.

The fourth look of the collection, named "Defence", the model wears a light cream dress. The dress is covered in a rhinestone-embellished mesh, stretched over a bodice that accentuates the hips of the model into two sharp diamond points. The dress bares the shoulders, with mesh, elbow-length globes and a sheer skirt over a satin bodysuit. MAISON MARGIELA FALL 2025 COUTURE COLLECTION [2/3].

The model wears a form-fitting dress with numerous ruffles, giving them a jagged, organic silhouette. The dress is a riot of color: reds, yellows, greens, blues, pinks, and whites and is made of recycled material. The ruffles on the dress look like flower petals, bunching in thick clumps around the model's neck, shoulders, knees, and toes (haha). They wear one of Margiela's signature full-face masks in the same fabric as the dress, fully obscuring their features. Their arms are bare.

The model wears a tightly-corseted floor-length, sleek dress in mother of pearl ivory. The dress has long sleeves, opaque up to the elbow and sheer after that. IRIS VAN HERPEN FALL 2025 COUTURE COLLECTION [2/3].

The model wears a blue dress with a dramatic cape. The cape starts at light blue at the shoulders and darkens to a deep ocean blue at the end. The dress is made of numerous organic cutouts and ends at mid-thigh, with thigh-high boots that are a living extension of the dress.

The dress itself is made in collarboration with biodesigner Chris Bellamy, and contains 125 million bioluminescent algae which will emit light in response to movement. The light show is not pictured here. The Pyrocystis Lunula algae were grown for the show, and molded into a protective membrane that forms the dress. The algae thrive within the custom-molded nutrient matrix and were grown in a lab that mimicked their natural marine conditions.

The model (and dancer) wears a organza dress stretched over carbon fibre bonings. The dress obscures the model's body in deep-sea like silhouettes, cut through with lines of lights. The full dance involves the model shrouding themself in the fabric and using bamboo wands to mimic the waves of the sea.

The model wears a copper patina sleeveless dress with a corset style bodice that reveals the inside of their chest and sternum. The dress has dramatic panniers with scale like fabric, forming dramatic false hips on either side of the model. They wear the same sonar-ring shoes as the other models.

The model wears a sleeveless floor-length loose dress inspired by the Dohrnii jellyfish. The dress is made of Japanese airfabric in a gradient of soft peach to a deep plum from neck and hem. The dress has a dramatic "cape" of crescent moon curved shapes made of bonings laser-cut from translucent carbon fibre. More gradient dyed fabric hangs from the boning, forming jellyfish-like wings.

I want to highlight Laura Harrier's Zac Posen for Gap Studio custom look because it's one of my favorites of the night. It's the first of Posen's Met Gala creations to feature pants and was informed by archival family photos of Harrier's own father and grandfather in their Sunday best.

Actress Laura Harrier wears a white and cream ecru low outfit, with a cinched-waist, raw denim vest over a white shirt with sheer, billowing sleeves pinned at her wrists. She wears flared, duchess satin tailored pants. Harrier wears her natural curls for the look, and subtle makeup.
She's accessorized with a dazzling silver choker and large ring.

I am awake and catching up on a few looks I missed last night, starting with Tramell Tillman’s Thom Browne look. The piece took over 300 hours to embroider, with over 5,000 bugle beads, and 13,000 seed beads going into its creation. Tillman is styled by Chaise Dennis.

Model & Actor Keith powers wears flowing plaid trousers in a dark grey, paired with a cropped, black tuxedo jacket, a white, striped shirt, and a polka-dot black tie. He has matching silver rings on the index finger of each hand, and a striped handkerchief in his breast pocket.

NFL safety Jonathan Owens, husband of Seven-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, wears an all-white look, accentuated with a fur shawl, by Nigerian designers Deji & Kola. he carries a walking stick, and has a brooch with a blue stone that matches his wife's royal-blue minidress. The train of the minidress can be seen behind Owens, although Simone is not fully visible.
