Christmas dinner: eggplant parmesan. Last year, we misjudged how quickly eggplant goes bad, so my daughter over-bought, hoping that there would be enough still good for our family gathering.

The best part of being in writing groups is that I already leave them inspired. I'm in 2 poetry critique groups and one fiction group, and all 3 have made me a much better, more prolific writer.

Daily motivation, though....that's on me. Unfortunately.

This is me at 17, senior year of high school. Looking at it, I remember getting hassled by adults for not smiling more. This was my smile then, and I now understand how much energy i spent hiding my slightly crooked front teeth. Also, I liked seeming jaded & cynical.

Just got a copy of the poetry book I edited and published --I'm thrilled with it! Will start promoting it wider now. It's been a process. #poetry
