@sdarlington yeah love is used a lot in Kent, not unusual to be called it at the supermarket checkout. I steer well clear, even mate and pal I wouldn't use except in an ironic way.

@sdarlington The truth is out there. My sticking points are license/licence, practise/practice, occasionally and obsessive. Cs and Ss, they always make me stop and think. Also bear/bare, so rarely used that I always have to wonder whether I want someone to bear with me or bare with me.
