If Reeves is going to change the message about risk and investing in the stock market for the general public, then there needs to be education about risk, so that people don't misunderstand the message and take up more risk than they should.

Tablets were going to make textbooks obsolete. Kids are still carry books in backpacks.

Cloud storage was going to make local storage obsolete, and here I am with more external drives than ever.

AI is going to make humans obsolete, so where will I be in ten years? Still here, I suspect.

Pretty sick and tired of OneDrive for Mac, it just wants to drain all bandwidth. Why can't it just play nice?

Google maps is now tell me where to go on holiday. I wouldn't say bigging up Cornwall is particularly original, but hey.

I was starting to think that slow internet speeds with Virgin Media might be my Intel Mac mini because others have reported similar with Macs, but I'm now hopeful that it was OneDrive gobbling all the bandwidth, and that limiting upload/download rates will fix it. 🤞 It wasn't just a bit slower […]

Being upfront about ticket fees didn't stop the companies shamelessly adding made up ones.

If please and thank you are costing OpenAI money, can they not simply strip those from messages?

Let's hope DJT doesn't say anything silly that could threaten negotiations ... what's that? Oh, right, he already did.

The problem I see is that companies exporting to the States now have to pay tariffs on imports (not sales), and if tariffs later fall, then that's wasted money. The freeze on exports, especially cars makes sense in these conditions and also gives politicians leverage to make deals if the US […]

🍿 The world now waits on Trump's response to China. Not a good day for Apple and others if this adds a further tariff hike.

For the hell of making predictions, I'm going to guess that over the coming year the NASDAQ will lose its last ten years of growth. Taking it down 80%. This might sound like crazy talk, but I honestly think it's a possibility given what's going on. I've talked with ChatGPT and Gemini about this […]
