I don't like these kind of battle game storage systems where its just a guy in a box that you drag around, so I'm fixing it. With something more physical like this, it feels more like you're checking out a storage locker preparing for war.

Not completely polished yet, but I just couldn't wait to show the almost 100% complete crafting off! I really wasn't expecting to get robot crafting done today. It actually FEELS like you're making things now.

I cant exactly have imposter syndrome anymore when I realize just how much time Ive spent in a single art program I got THIS YEAR.

306.9 hours. Sure most of that is being on in the background, but that's still 306.9 hours I've spent developing things.

Is this what actual pride feels like?

My crafting system didn't feel special enough in the proof of concept, so now I'm going for something like this. When crafting either a module, key item, resource or robot, a special animation will play.

I'm excited for the robot animation, that ones going to be interactive :)

Gear was very straightforwards with her design, not much ever changed there. Yet Blindside was going to look a LOT different. In fact, Longshot from ATLA was a heavy inspiration early in the design process, Im sure that's fairly apparent once you realize the similarities in the modern day.

Blindside and Gear, two resistance members in the 4th act of the story, rescuing Black and his friends after escaping the Island. Not much about Blindside is known.
Gear is loud, bombastic, and speaks gibberish she made up while self-learning machinery.

Where will the two's help take everyone?

Walleye and Darkskull. Walleye is the young cook for the pirates with a strong morale compass, wanting an out but never being provided the tools to make one. Darkskull is the captain, a psychotic who loves to fight and kill in demented ways.

Steel, a young man who joined the raiders as a kid under pretenses that they were cool. He's silently desperate to fit in, and be seen. His worldview changes when he hears word of Black's accomplishments, in that moment he knows who to really follow.

Decay, a secondary "antagonist" in the first act. Leader of the raiders. He may not actively threaten or attack you, but he won't exactly stop others from doing so. A narcissist who needs everyone to idolize him, and just generally is a huge scumbag.

Mud, the first antagonist Black will face off against. He's amassed enough resources to become a solo political power. He keeps to himself in a cave, but with rampant attacks spreading through the depths from robots, all fingers point only to him.

Sierra, a drifter from the depths with some strange interests. She lives in the moment, and cherishes the relationships she's made along the way. Sierra may be an odd person, but she's a good, happy person, a rarity in someone from her world.

Marina, a main character of my game I've grown incredibly fond of. Shes a rough and tough Angler trying to find something meaty to eat in a dead sea. Ask her for help and if she likes you, she will, but will absolutely make fun of you the entire time

Act 3's story is finished! I mixed in a good feeling of both calm AND the storm together, and in the end I definitely think it holds a candle to the other two

Oh, whats this? some of the scripting for some cut scenes, including the final boss? Oh and a lore overview of the act location? Oops! (Alt)

Meet Black, the main character of my world and eventual game.

Hes a tired roboticist born in a world comprised entirely of other people's garbage. He doesn't care about almost anything other than the current mission in his mind.

He struggles asking for help, but overtime will grow as a person 1/2

Got frustrated that I was just not seeing improvement in my anatomy.

Threw my pencil at my sketch book in frustration, ready to give up trying my multi-year long endeavor.

I pick it back up and can suddenly draw anatomy????

Legitimately how I've been feeling lately now that I'm writing something I'm passionate about, and not a 5 minute slapped together middle school haiku for a "creative writing" class that gets praised like its Stephen King.

Wasn't a fan of this guy "screaming" at first when I tried executing it, but I think I did it in a non invasive, in universe way by altering the pitch based on the difference of the player's position from his. I do like how it turned out, but feel like there's even more I can do here. Any thoughts?
