Resembles, but isn't the same. I think M&T is using its own methodology. Here's Level 5. Many more magic items than in either AD&D or B/X, and some of the entries are doubled up.

@icastlight.bsky.social OK, here's the Level 1 table in the same format. It's not pre-rolled AD&D results (the values are off) and it's heavily coin-weighted.

More charts! I'm looking into various "room treasure" tables. Once again, the average value is misleading. Gems + jewellery dominate if present.

128 pages of the Treasure Overhaul, now available on Patreon:

Page after page of never-before-seen WIP items, spells, and the entire Sage chapter.

I've put (non-magical) luxury good lists in the Sage chapter. Inventing names for famous pieces was a lot of fun.

Two full-page Treasure Overhaul previews in one week?

The Doom Scroll is a pretty heinous gag, but did you catch the Scroll of Elevation.

Affinity's big announcement: AI slop. Hooray. Just what literally no one asked for.

So A2 is similar enough to A1 that I'm not worried. A3 (Pirate Treasure) is uniquely jewellery-loaded, which makes sense. You could approximate it as 2xA1 but if I wanted to model it accurately I'd need to add a new type... and I'm not convinced that'll be useful.

Testing out a compact treasure table. Since the average value of a complex roll can be misleading, I've added a d10 multiplier table to spice up the average if you don't feel like rolling normally.

Also, Tourmaline is kind of crazy, as far as gems go.
"I think we've finally figured this 'electro-magnetism' thing out."
"Splendid, Maxwell! Does it explain why this gem attracts ash when hot?"
"It... it what? But... but magnets... but..."

Hopefully this meets both of your requests. 🙂

Here are the major OD&D charts. It should be obvious how just looking at the average value is misleading.

Just for you:

Spending my Sunday squinting at charts. For Treasure Type A, OD&D and AD&D have fairly similar values and distributions, despite using different methods. OSE, though, with its fixed (3d6x100gp) jewellery value and 50% chance of 1d2x1,000 platinum pieces, has a very different curve.

Here's a tweaked version I'm using for OD&D. Might be handy. @dysonlogos.bsky.social as usual gets all the credit for an excellent and timeless design.

I've also created an OD&D hexcrawl.

Not every hex is keyed, but major locations are included, treasure is pre-rolled, and some emergent factions and quests are ready to go.

I wrote a 3-level OD&D dungeon. The key is available on Patreon. It's not fancy, it's not complicated, but it is a dungeon, and sometimes that's all you need: www.patreon.com/posts/od-d-o...

Myths, Legends, and Folktales to sprinkle into the background of your setting.

And, of course, some standard adventuring crimes.

In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the Watch, who investigate crime; and the Judicial Minotaurs, who disembowel the guilty. These are their stories.

So "Zone of Truth" makes trials trivial, eh? Well not anymore.
