NWS WPC has issued a top-of-scale "high risk" flood outlook in/near Transverse Ranges of SoCal; most of the SoCal urban corridor is in "moderate"(second highest) tier. This is a strong signal that significant flash flooding/urban flooding/debris flows are possible on Wed. #CAwx

As a 504 ccordiantor this is very upsetting. Many of my students would either not succeed or have a much more difficult time trying to succeeed without this programs. The states that need programs like this the most are the ones trying to eliminate them.

Going by the Rose Parade grandstands still assembled in downtown Pasadena made me think of this: if you watched the Rose Bowl football game and remember all of those beautiful shots of sunset over the San Gabriel Mountains realize that everything you saw is now a moonscape. All burned in one night.
