I find that lately I get very annoyed by people who use the word libertarian without the qualifier of right wing if they're talking about right wing libertarians.

It's good to fact-check tyrants, but let's not forget this wouldn't be okay even if they were trafficking drugs. Drugs is just another arbitrary reason to gain and wield power.

We looked at some criticism we got after a past episode and talked about what it showed us about interpretation. People can hear the same words in completely different ways, which says a lot about how hard it is to communicate across political spaces.
Solidarity means standing with people who need you. That’s it. You don’t do it to look good or because it’s easy. You do it because it’s right, because if you won’t stand with people when they need you, then what’s the point of any of it?

Real listening is rare. The noise keeps people divided because silence doesn’t sell. We talked about slowing down enough to actually hear each other and how that act alone can be a form of resistance.
People love being certain. It feels safe. But certainty shuts the door on conversation. The moment you think you already know what someone means, you stop hearing what they’re saying.
