If you want other people to enjoy and appreciate the little stories that live in your head, you have to make them visible. That comes at the risk of imitators. But when you’re first starting out, I feel like you don’t need to worry so much.

Starting out in my teen years I was always afraid of being the copycat. Not plagiarism but for example I'm writing a story with a typical sheet style ghost character I use to be afraid of begin accused as a copycat because others also used same type of character in a different story.

Kinda jumping a point for a pet peeve of mine that been coming up in my conversations if you don't mind.
The line “Let them mispronounce a word.” People are do this to me constantly correcting my mispronunciation of words while I’m speaking especially when Im asked to read something out loud.

I never understood the question because everywhere Ive applied for I was like “Uhh, I dunno you exist?”

They not wrong I was locked out my one account once granted I only had like 3.50 on my account it still sucked I didn't get it.
