I still mess around w/ MtG some, mostly Old School, Pauper & PreModern. I'm a fan of the Magic I remember, before the Planeswalkers & Commanders, however sometimes a card like Campfire comes along & I smile because I think how much my bro would like it in an old Zur's Weirding deck.

Over the years, he tinkered with it a lot. For a long time it was just a control deck that would deny draws to your opponent & would gain life back via Fountain of Youth, which wasn't great. And of course, Necro kinda got banned outta existence because it's giga-OP (cont.)

I've been playing this deck a lot. The Sideboard, as you can probably tell, is geared toward winning the Mono Red match-up. If you can get a Fangs on a Terror early enough, you'll win. A lot of Hydro/Pyroblast battles. The Snackers come out. Snuff isn't great there either.

This incident really changed me. I have been doing a lot of thinking & soul-searching. I’m a bit directionless in life. I asked for a meeting at work so I can try to strive for improvement. I need to set goals & work toward them. Facing your mortality is eerie.
