I finally watched Bound and finally did a rewatch of La Mala Educacion. The former made me go full Tex Avery wolf in the first two minutes and the latter remains an incredible erotic-noir masterpiece that needs a blu-ray release immediately. ('Bound' is all those things and thank god it's in 4K.)

Two (2) movies about male filmmakers realizing they’re a bad parent and they go on to make a genuine effort to be a better person to their child? Pardon me

Remember how we loved Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway in The Devil Wears Prada but Emily Blunt walked away with every scene she was in and we fell in love with her forever?

That’s Tonatiuh in Kiss of the Spider Woman. He’s a sensation!

I just realized once Frankenstein really hits wide release, we’re going to get slutty fan art and I almost started screaming with glee.

I’m not playing at all about Frankenstein or Kiss of the Spider Woman. Put both of them in your eyeballs immediately! #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched

#LastFourWatched I thought I was a little crazy for seeing KOTSW more than once but checking the socials and a lot of other people have been going 2-3 times. Yes the gay antifascist Latin musical is that good, people! #LetterboxdFriday

Lawrence of Arabia in 70mm was sensational. Omar Sharif is the world’s number one lover boy.

Another rewatch of The Apprentice and Maria Bakalova really should have gotten her accolades. The short scene of her in the limo quietly getting herself collected before she greets the press is great work.

Impulse bought A Matter of Life and Death since I’m overdue to watch it and now I’m crying during the changing of the jury. This is also one of the most wildly underrated sci-fi fantasies I’ve ever seen.

JESUS.

Another excellent interview and a reminder of how deeply sick Biden and the Democrats have become. The whole party needs new people instead of this sickness.
