There's lot to loathe about the state of things in the USA right now but one side nuisance that's sprouted from our burgeoning fascist dictatorship is advertisers leaning into the "RAH RAH AMERICA!" jingoism that I haven't seen since the 80s. I'm not gonna jerk off a bald eagle & buy a Dodge Ram.

It took most of a year, but I finally finished Baldur's Gate 3. I abandoned my first Tav, a one-of-every-class "Abserd" dilettante, but got about as heroic an ending as I could ask for with my Githyanki battle wizard. What a damned satisfying game.

I finished Andor and rewatched Rogue One yesterday. Really want to continue with A New Hope, but I also saw a production of Hadestown and watched Next To Normal on PBS Great Performances, and I think I'm just out of bandwidth. #storyjunkie

This app is nice, and a much better attempt at Bad Twitter than "X" is, so I'll keep it. But when/if the TT ban really happens, I think my main social media is going to be... Like... GoodReads. Already removed all the Meta 'n Musk apps. Books see good. Read more books.

Today's NYT Connections (specifically the purple group) was the worst ever and I hope somebody gets fired. And it was only a 2.8 out of 5 difficulty?? Utter nonsense.
