I think for some people that experience of living in another country would still be really valuable. But I guess I just wanted to let people who can't do that kind of working know that there is another way of doing it. Anyway, now I'm off to do bedtime duty for the next week!

This is particularly true now we are all much more connected online. We have arranged monthly meetings to progress the work in the meantime and have well laid out plans which will help keep momentum 5/n

It obviously helps being based in Europe in that it's easy to travel quickly between countries and do these short visits. But I wanted to kind of let people know that there is this alternative way of doing visits that does feel like it will work 4/n

Now I can go away and start working on a joint project (in collaboration with a PhD student from the centre) before coming back next year to check in and push the project along. 3/n

I'm just finishing my first visit of 3 days to the health economics group at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and feel like this is going to work really well. We have had quite an intense few days of presentations and meetings but we've set things up well for working in the future 2/n
