I’ve lived in a hurricane-prone area my whole life and still feel dread every time I evacuate, wondering if this is the time I’ll lose it all.

you can’t control natural disasters, that’s why they’re so scary.

I hate that this has to be written out.

Folks used to just… understand this. Very few of us are fucked-up enough to try to trigger someone that’s not in these spaces or make things worse for them.

But not all of us want to, or are ready, to fully recover
