Significant fire on Eyre Peninsula, SA right now. It has just jumped the hwy toward heavy scrub into what is called Marble Range. Multiple aircraft and helicopters on the scene, at least 5 more assets coming over from Adelaide.

In South Australia, during Total Fire Bans, headers are NOT supposed to be out harvesting without a special permit.
So how come CFS volunteers - and aircraft - are having to respond to a header fire in an area under Total Fire Ban?

In South Australia, during Total Fire Bans, headers are NOT supposed to be out harvesting without a special permit.

And still I am curious. Now a RAAF Hercules is on the scene since the 2 x AMSA aircraft went home.
Stricken vessel? Parts? Supplies? Clearly not our lost aircraft.
Only question I have is why there is zero mention of any maritime distress/emergency anywhere.

A 2nd AMSA aircraft (from Cairns) is now at Lord Howe doing a circuit. This is 1000km NE of Tasmania where a plane is/was apparently lost.
Did the plane they are searching for get lost? Hypoxia?

AMSA has been out there a long time. At one stage winds were 45+ knots at Lord Howe island so a vessel, whether fishing or leisure, may have got into difficulty.
Unsure if vessel has been located and AMSA is simply staying on scene or searching.
