This week's episode is a trip back to the sea.

Episode 254 - Waves of West Somerset (sleep safe)

A single tree on the beach allowed us to make this episode. It was the only thing we could safely attach our kit to, and walk away.

Hear the sound of this place without anyone in it.

Episode 246 - Edgeland time by the Hythe Sound Mirror (sleep safe)

On a blowy August day we reached this iconic crumbling concrete site. We sat out of the wind with the mics and watched the kestrels.

To 'cadge' a lift is a Scots term for being taken in a vehicle to save walking. In medieval times falcons were carried in wood frame cadges on carts after hours of hunting. Some folks would climb on the back of the cart beside the 'cages' and cadge a lift back to the Castle. #MedievalSky

A bit of evolutionary biology for a Saturday morning*: all toads are frogs but not all frogs are toads. And the distinction between toads and frogs is just that toads tend to be terrestrial, whereas frogs tend to be more aquatic, with wet skin. 1/6
