I'd probably shift the lines so that Ireland was divided more along the middle, because we already have a reasonable idea of how an arbitrary split on the upper northeastern corner would go, although Donegal would be in Haag.

There are lots of cool buildings in Chicago but the weirdest bit for me was that the black building on the right-hand side looks exactly like my office in Dublin, there was a few of them in the same style.

Some discourse today reminds me that my parents used to have a 1988 Citroen BX, which we would take on the ferry on holiday over to France. I was young enough at the time, probably 3-4 years old but I remember it being this colour:

Putting some paint on the miniatures for the Divinity boardgame. We've been horsing through the game, went up two levels in two sessions, so I feel like I'd better get these characters painted before it's too late!

Yeah exactly, I just saw this still on Facebook. So much of the comedy is the wild physical mismatch between Hiccup and the rest of the vikings, that's presumably gone. I'm not a super-fan of the franchise or anything but I enjoyed the first one. The dragons are all going to be CGI anyway, like.

We're playing a narrative Kill Team campaign at the moment. I'm playing Chaos Legionaries, but using Necron models to represent them. It's been a lot of fun trying to get some character into these models, particularly because I initially had one idea that I didn't pursue.

Final photos of this set on the painting table. I've got the big buildings from Hivestorm to do next, and all the little obstacles have their brambles and ferns on them as well. It's going to look great, and I can't wait to incorporate them into bases too, so that squads look like they belong.

I love how the vines and brambles are adding a splash of colour to the sepia tone with the rest of the terrain.

More overgrown terrain. Happily these buildings turned out to be the same as those in the new Hivestorm set so I'm able to use them for that and not assemble and paint yet more identical terrain.

I am very pleased with how these turned out, I've had the idea in my head for most of a year. Warhammer 40k tables are always so devoid of the natural world, there hasn't been even a jungle terrain set in years, so it was nice to paint some plants.

Yet more painted terrain for Kill Team. Very disappointed that the crane doesn't do anything in terms of game rules, but I think it looks good!
