Also it looks like it was specifically the Bitterness Devil who was used for the Axe, given the tooth shape. So it's also Asa using the embodiment of Denji's first love to help them escape as well. These two are just too adorable.

#csm185 writing wise, it also makes me think. Trees, as lifeforms, are the ultimate example of big, unwavering, uncaring, mindless things -- They ignore the world around them, living in peace in their place; not causing any kind of ruckus around them.

Yoshida being more popular than Himeno (who was a key part of the early arcs of the story) when all he did was throw hands with a lesbian and lose will never not be funny. His biggest Part 1 moment is being thrown off a window.

i LOVE the levels of confidence he's showing here. We haven't seen much of either confident Denji or battlesmart Denji for a long time and it's great to see this part of him resurface after so long. In a way, its the memories from P1 that rekindle this attitude he had so much back then.
