A counterclaim might be an interesting idea
BBC has a case against Trump. WhiteHouse Chief Press Officer called the BBC ‘100% fake news.’ Which is defamatory and untrue.

In a recent lecture, Lord Briggs places renewed emphasis on the common law’s ability to protect human rights, and argues that we should not doubt its capaity to step in if the UK were to withdraw from the ECHR. Is such optimism well-founded?

While I’m at it: there’s a whole category of classical pieces which, though perfectly good, even great, pall through over-exposure. Overtures are vulnerable to this, perhaps because they’re a convenient length. I’d be happy not to hear Thieving Magpie, Coriolane, Egmont, Candide … for a few years

Joshua refers to the BBC having a “choice between saying sorry and paying $1 billion”. There is also the option of doing neither and defending any claim, wherever it’s brought
Will President Trump sue the BBC for $1 billion? As the US president no doubt intended, it’s a figure that appears in almost every front-page newspaper headline today.

Not if the BBC makes sufficient amends this week

Imagine doing ANYTHING AT ALL and constantly interrupting it every two minutes to ask everyone around you “do you like me? Is this ok? Please like me! Should I do something completely different so you like me more? I will ask you again next week shall I?”

That’s what government by focus group is.
