Oh thank god, I thought it was just me. I felt like I was being thwacked over the head with the Big Boy's First Book of Allegory...

That old saw about the goose that lays golden eggs seems really apt here. They're slaughtering these geese wholesale, trying to probe their innards for the gold-making mechanism. Even when they see it, they don't recognize it and they don't value it.

Or a minor royal played by a soon-to-be-disgraced minor royal

It's like trying to decipher a GCSE question about schoolkids and marbles and wondering if the instruction is standard deviation or long division.

I did wonder about this a bit with Fjellrev and Søte og Rare Gutter. The lyrics seem to have gotten a bit more radio-friendly lately, their last few releases. More pop, less provocative.

I'm reminded of this thread going into detail about the resistance to universities in the North. I had no idea they were actually banned for such a long period.

It's not finished. This is just the outline. But I wrote about why North England is poor. Which it really really is. tomforth.co.uk/whynorthengl...
Why North England is poor.
And why Thatcher is partly to blame, but not in the way most people argue.

Tastes like childhood. I used to swig it from the bottle whenever I opened the cupboard.

I was a SAHM for 9 years, we have our vices 😁

ChatGPT's English honestly sounds 'off' or strange. Typ, kusligt.

Dracula. It blew me away at Uni, after wading through classic after classic and having to, well, exert myself a bit to follow, Dracula is a breath of fresh air. Boom, action!

It's been really interesting to see his taste develop over the years, independent of our gaming tastes, and that he gets involved in those communities, sharing creations and guides etc. He's also open to my small indie horror recommendations, like Dead Letter Dept, No I'm Not a Human etc.
