One of my simplest images in terms of exposure and processing… yet one of my favorites. Dust and gas clouds weave with distant, reddened galaxies — not the death of a star, but the cradle of many new ones.

A bit of tweaking of the previous post - Omega Centauri NGC 5139, the largest known globular cluster in the Milky Way - imaged from the backyard. 1.5h of data collected with a Takahashi TOA 130 telescope and ZWO ASI533MC camera. Processed in @siril.org and #GIMP. #astrophotography #astronomy
