The Botanica on SkyTown, Elysia. Because how do you make an ancient floating alien steampunk facility even cooler? Have an entire section overgrown by alien trees #Metroid
A corridor in Skytown, Elysia from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Its bronze walls are worn but ornate, decorated with gear patterns and glowing yellow circles. The branches of an alien tree grow through cracks in the walls, and a bronze, stingray-shaped Databot floats lazily over a defunct elevator. A corridor in the Botanica itself. It’s a long, high-ceilinged hallway overgrown with the same red-leaved trees, and a block in the middle bears the glowing yellow, gear-shaped symbol of a Chozo Artifact The Botanica save room. I LOVE Nemesis’ final form in the original RE3, bc it’s more than just the usual blob: All that’s left of his body is a torso, arm and leg, forcing the parasite to extend its tentacles and mouthparts through the open sockets and neck-hole. Nemesis is literally on his last leg, and it looks GNARLY.

He consists of a giant, headless, inverted torso, with a mountain of white boils and a ribcage that has opened up into “teeth”, with tentacles erupting from random spots on the body. The only remaining appendages of his original body are his left arm and right leg: The remaining two limbs have been replaced by giant tentacles from the engorged parasite within, whose mouthparts emerge from the now-vacant hole in Nemesis’ neck.

Now that you mention it… yes and no? He isn’t as tentacle-y as his Type 2 form (which I assumed it was), but his coat’s visibly damaged, exposing half of his chest. The closest I can think of is the “1.5” form you can get if Carlos intervenes, but his skin’s obviously not burned away in that sketch.

Samus and the player defeat him, but right as he comes to his senses, Rundas is killed by spikes of his own ice. Oh yeah, and his boss fight has the most epic sad music ever written.
