Senior QA Analyst in the gaming industry. He/him.
We can certainly find someone who can a) unite the party as well or better than Schumer and b) fight more effectively than he has shown capable of.

And personally a suspect that if you find someone in that area then you're going to get much more unification than you expect.

The extremely clear argument is "i do not believe the current group can defeat fascism, even if they somehow had a majority" rather than whatever arguments you're imagining in your head.

I look forward to discovering what other secrets snuck in because these dipshits were so desperate to surrender.

Yeah. My guess is that we ultimately lose regardless but jesus what an embarrassing and pathetic way to lose.

I said it down thread but I'm coming up to say it here too:

You're a disingenuous scumbag asshole and folks shouldn't engage with you with anything approaching good faith.

Ain't Pete actually saying that either and I have to assume you know that and are being an intention scumbag, ya fuckin prick.
November 10, 2025 at 8:01 AM
Yeah, it remains very interesting that the arguments i could buy for this, even if I still would demand heads afterwards, aren't even being attempted as far as I can tell.

Okay is the Ghost of Yotei discourse more cursed than I was aware or is this about something else?

As I said elsewhere, this really makes me wonder if the cavers knew they were about to loose their best excuse and that explains the aggressive push today.
November 10, 2025 at 5:47 AM
Also c) I don't think I'd find that argument compelling
November 10, 2025 at 5:40 AM
(No worries, I didn't think it was!)

Yeah, like everyone was reading these tea leaves and these guys couldn't? And, like, I could see an argument for "we didn't trust Trump to abide" but

A) make him actually break faith first!

B) nobody is making that case, actually.

Yeah, like I work for a gaming company and I'm sure we are tied to something I'd see as bad even beyond, like, microtransactions or whatever.

That said, my job is mainly about making sure our very popular game doesn't give kids epileptic fits.

This, in fact, makes me wonder if they pushed so hard to fold tonight *because* they knew their best excuse was about to dissolve if they waited any longer.

Maybe they didn't know it was tonight but I suspect they knew they didn't have long.
November 10, 2025 at 5:19 AM
Its very clear that the folds just wanted an excuse and the right timing.
