My son just surprised me w flowers in bed as an early birthday gift! Completely caught me off guard. On cloud nine now. Even Blue Sky Dot Com can’t bring me down after this one (that is not a dare).

My reply in a larger thread: It's true though. This was my 6yr old's first time taking an interest in watching sports & now he's like what's next? We said hockey & basketball. He asked if it's like watching baseball & we laughed like no not at all. This was a special type of trauma bonding we just experienced Reply to my reply: Baseball is the thinking man's game! If it's boring you, you don't understand the game. However, bashing ALL who watch and/or play the game makes you look childish! Generalizations are frequently erroneous and usually uneducated.

Losing the ability to lift my son was one of the hardest things about developing Long Covid. My first post-Covid symptoms included nearly fainting after lifting my son in the air & when getting up from the floor after bathing him. That was b4 my second infection of 2020.

Was looking back thru photos of my son & I over the years & reflecting on how I’ve been ill for most of his life. I’m glad I made the most of the time I had w him before I got sick & during a brief period of remission in 2023, where I was able to travel a bit if I rested aggressively. 1/3
