I'm still losing more family&friend connections to ignorance and worse than I can possibly ever find new "found family" at the moment and I am SO tired.

"99.97 percent of families, even when given the option, chose to let their children learn about LGBTQ+ people."
Nice result, and it reinforces everything Montgomery County said to SCOTUS before its theocrats made their dehumanizing ruling. open.substack.com/pub/erininth...
Only 0.03% Opt Out Of LGBTQ+ Education In Maryland After SCOTUS Gives Them A Right To
After SCOTUS gave families a right to opt out of LGBTQ+ education, Montgomery County, Maryland is reporting only 43 families took them up on it.

“This new data confirms what we already knew: there is a trans+ healthcare crisis in the UK. But the actual numbers are stark. The system of NHS gender clinics, which is failing to give people an appointment in their entire lifetime, is limiting the number of people who can transition.”

Appalling.
Some people in Scotland will never get gender clinic appointment on 224-year waitlist
Revealed waiting times of all GICs in UK: Most Trans+ people in the UK will wait more than a third of their adult life to get an appointment, and some will never receive care

9. The data out of MMCPS makes one thing unmistakably clear: this crusade is not a mass movement. It’s the obsession of a vanishingly small minority, inflated by a Republican Party that has turned resentment of diversity—and especially of LGBTQ+ people—into the centerpiece of its politics.

yeah typically American, they re-define German words then get aggressive and rude when in Germany and realizing what they ordered is not what they _think_ they ordered because _they_ know better hot wot German than actual Germans.

can you sue for excessive force against a minor in Italy?
"celebrating" that sounds traumatic to me.
Especially since I know first hand how out of line American tourists can get if simply for you not them as being superior to you in your own country.

The first large-scale Nazi book burning was on 6 May 1933, when Magnus Hirschfeld's Institut für Sexualwissenschaft in Berlin was attacked by Nazi students. It would take decades for science to recover the knowledge about trans-affirming healthcare that was destroyed that day.

One overlooked benefit of declaring preferred pronouns as a social norm is that it's not just for LGBTQ but also for people w non-Anglo names. I'm a cishet woman with a very feminine name but nobody's gonna know that if they don't know Chinese.
But the anti-LGBTQ crowd are also anti-immigrant so..

okay I understand how that "Does the dog die" site is helpful for a lot of people but do we have anything similar about whether someone relevant to a show is deemed "problematic" ?
I'm just tired of getting invested and then learning too late that there ARE valid concerns about someone's behaviour

" departures of Eric Graise and Abby McEnany, who played Bobby and Velma, respectively. "

I don't like that.
I get bored with all the "ditch diversity, focus on the white able-bodied cishet guy(s)" - we had all that thousands of times already.

If Microsoft actually wanted me to UNDERSTAND what I'm signing up for (by continuing to use their products) in their TOS not THAT would be a useful usecase for AI to taylor their info to easily understandable impact based on what you actually use not be all cryptic about it

I'm not 'harder' on 'allies'

IF a 'phobe
says something 'phobic
it's expected
and just verifies you can't trust them.

IF a 'friend'
says something 'phobic
it hurts
and you have to find out if it's accidental or a reason to strike one more person from your small trusted list

and now the good old "just a show!"

If you add to and celebrate the success of a show that vilifies marginalized people, or people profiting from it already said they'll use that profit to make it harder for marginalized people to exist,

you are NOT an ally or a friend of that group

I had myself hashtag baited and now I have to scream into the void:

Parents who fight against gender neutral toilets at school clearly tell some children they should not exist.

When some of those children kill themselves it is because of people like that.

THEEE one thing I would like to see is that I can chose what EXACTLY they are storing. The WHO is only interesting for the "what for"
Like okay if I use a product my location MAY be interesting for their marketing analysis and for providing their service.
