At least I've got a work around for the latter. Although some sessions have shared the QR code for the app that translates the room this is infrequently shared with online participants. So instead I copy the Spanish transcript and put it into Google translate. #LivingData2025

During lunch #LivingData2025 I watch presentations I've missed by attending other sessions. I don't know if others have noticed this theme, but this is at least the THIRD presentation where the challenge of access to literature has been raised. @biodivlibrary.bsky.social can help solve this.

Listening to a fabulous recorded presentation by Wai-Yin Kwan at #LivingData2025 about upending the typical community science process by teaching community scientists to analyse @inaturalist.bsky.social data in @gbif.org with R. Resources can be found in github. wykhuh.github.io/after-inatur...

Thank goodness I can rewatch this keynote by Rudolf Meier. His hugely data rich presentation points out how much knowledge we lack. #LivingData2025

Watching Rudolf Meier doing an AMAZING keynote presentation at #LivingData2025. There was one slide where a wasp was being identified via AI and underneath ... there was a link to the #Wikipedia article for the species. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take an image of that particular slide.

Love that it was the Australian presenter from @obis.org who pointed out that New Zealand was left off the map at #LivingData2025 and she apologised to the NZ Obis node. #ANZ #getNZonthemap

Watching #LivingData2025 online and in general am very much enjoying myself. However I do admit to being a little frustrated that the zoom broadcast isn't high resolution enough for me to scan QR codes.

Getting up at 2.30am in the morning is confusing enough. Now I have to work out what Plenary stream on zoom I should join. Going for the one with the official slide. 15min in and the broadcast hasn't started. Hope they haven't forgotten virtual attendees. #LivingData2025
