It really hadn't clicked with me until this rewatch how much McGillis truly replaces Kudelia in S2, to the point where the show towards its end goes right back to where it started:

In my heart of hearts I know that how long McGillis looks ~4 years pre-canon means that he was likely a teenager then (18-ish?) and is early 20s in S1... but that idea hurts me too deeply to take seriously...

....... I forgot that Shiiko literally Newtype senses that someone IS actually possessing specifically the Red Gundam, and now I am completely lost. I don't know what ghosts are in this story and what vessels they are in.
