👋 Hi, I’m David Sint
👀 I’m interested in web technologies, technical business strategy, skiing & scuba diving
🌱 I’m currently learning Rust
💼 I work for IBM as Managing Technical Consultant

I try to sound like I know what I'm talking about.
So I'm keeping my unborn child's name a secret but wanted to check if my pregnant friends/family had picked the same name for their child.

I thought, why not hash the names in private and compare the hashes?

Just got blank stares 😅

I wonder if @bsky.app would consider applying to own a gTLD. Then it could sell or include their custom domains as part of a subscription service.

For example, you could get @someone.bsky, and it would also mean that @bsky.app could change their handle to @bsky 🤔

• Shell vs Terminal
• Declarative vs Imperative
• Argument vs Parameter

If I think hard enough I know the difference, but it *always* takes me a few seconds to recall meaning I use them incorrectly the whole time.

How do you remember?
Do you trip up on anything similar?

Software Engineering Body of Knowledge v4 published recently and seems quite a decent high-level view of the software engineering lifecycle and practice

Trying again to get back into BlueSky; last time I just couldn't easily tailor a dev/webdev feed like X already gives me. Has someone made a webdev starter pack, or custom feed?

@pfrazee.com Love the new Threaded mode!

Have you considered a long press action on a skeet to minimise it, as well as all its child skeets?

@wesbos.com, listened to your potluck on JS style Notebooks. I use Node.js Notebooks in VS Code for a very Jupyter like experience but but in TypeScript/JavaScript
Node.js Notebooks (REPL) - Visual Studio Marketplace
Extension for Visual Studio Code - Iterative & interactive programming for Node.js in JavaScript/TypeScript (REPL), with great support for Tensorflow.js, debugging, & more..
